Hear From Travellers Who Used Insider Pricing—Just Like You Will

These stories reflect the kind of experiences we aim to deliver when our club goes live.

Margaret Wilson, a 67-year-old retired teacher from Yorkshire, had always dreamed of spending extended periods abroad during the harsh UK winters. On her modest pension, however, she had resigned herself to brief two-week escapes.

"After my husband passed, I inherited a small sum, but I was determined to make it last," Margaret explains. "The Algarve was always our special place, but I could only afford short stays at hotels charging £120 per night."

After discovering what she calls " the travel industry's best-kept secret," Margaret now spends eight weeks in Portugal each winter, staying in a beachfront apartment that would typically cost £6,800 for that duration.

"I paid just £3,200 for my entire two-month stay," she beams. "That's less than what my friends pay for two weeks in the same area. I keep telling them there's a better way, but they think I've just found a one-off bargain."

The extended stays have transformed Margaret's retirement. "I've made friends with locals, improved my Portuguese, and even started painting seascapes. This isn't just about saving money—it's about having the time to truly experience a place rather than just visiting it."

For Alan and Patricia Wright, both in their early 70s from Devon, cruising has been a way of life since retirement. With over 20 cruises behind them, they considered themselves savvy travellers—until recently.

“We were looking at a 14-day Mediterranean cruise in a balcony suite that was priced at £5,200 for both of us,” Alan explains. “It was more than we wanted to pay, but it was our 50th anniversary, so we were ready to splurge.”

Before booking, Patricia chatted with a friend who had just returned from a similar cruise. “She mentioned a different way of booking that I’d never heard of. I was sceptical, but we decided to check it out.”

They ended up on the exact same cruise, in the same balcony suite, but paid just £2,960—a full 4% less than the published rate.

“I met another couple onboard who had booked through a traditional travel agent,” Patricia says. “They’d paid full price. I didn’t have the heart to tell them.”

Alan adds, “We’ve already booked three more cruises for next year. Same budget—nearly twice the holidays. At our age, that’s priceless.”
